Milan players before Lazio clash

Player Ratings: AC Milan 1-2 Lazio – Pavlovic sees red; Jimenez nightmare

AC Milan lost yet another game as Lazio converted a late penalty underneath the San Siro floodlights. It was a very poor performance from the Rossoneri and below are the player ratings, with several to criticise.

If you haven’t already, make sure to check out how we decide the player ratings. From the scale to what affects the rating, we have compiled everything there.

Starting XI

Maignan (5): You could question his actions on the first goal, but he did steer the ball to the side – as you should do – so it was more the defenders’ fault. On the penalty, however, he was a bit too rash and although the contact was minimal, he could have stayed back a little.

Jimenez (4): He put in an absolutely horrendous defensive display, losing every single 1v1 with Tavares as well as falling asleep on Zaccagni’s goal. Sadly, he has shown in these last two games that he still has A LOT of work to do to compete for a starting spot.

Gabbia (6): He was the only defender who had multiple successful interventions, and without making any big mistakes. He also pushed forward at times, once in the second half which was one of the best attacks for Milan in the game.

Pavlovic (4): The Serbian was responsible for a very poor clearance just before Lazio’s opener and then killed the game with his red card, even if Milan did get an equaliser after. Say what you want about the referee’s decision, but it was indeed a clumsy and dangerous challenge. A rash decision which was fatal for the Rossoneri.

Hernandez (4.5): Another poor game for him, unfortunately. He failed to track back on the first goal and thus allowed Marusic tons of space, and he also missed an easy pass to start a great counter-attack for Milan.

Fofana (5): The most laughable moment of the game came as a result of the Frenchman’s decision-making, trying his luck from distance. The result? He skied it. The passing also wasn’t great apart from maybe one or two good ones.

Musah (5): He had multiple poor giveaways in exposed situations and also squandered a couple of good opportunities in attack, trying to backheel and stuff. Taking him off after 37 minutes was harsh but also understandable.

Pulisic (5.5): It’s quite clear that his condition isn’t 100% still, but he had a hand in some of the more promising moves this evening. That being said, his touches weren’t always brilliant as a few key passes were squandered.

Reijnders (5.5): The first half was a strange one from him, with weird misplaced passes and few contributions on the ball. However, he picked up in the second half and certainly helped Milan gain some sort of momentum in attack.

Leao (5.5): He got the assist for Chukwueze, who was left completely free at the back post, but aside from that winger didn’t have much success. The 1v1 proved difficult and when he did break through, including runs forward from Milan’s half, the final pass often wasn’t good enough.

Gimenez (4.5): It might sound harsh, but it was a very poor game. He had little success in possession, failed with some easy first touches – which could have led to good chances – and also committed strange fouls. The one at the end was completely uncalled for.

Substitutes

Joao Felix (5): He missed a good chance on the edge of the box in the first half, and then missed one inside the box in the second (even if the shot was better than). He did get himself involved a lot, credit to him, but that’s not the only thing Conceicao brought him on to do.

Walker (5.5): The situation on the right-hand side certainly improved with him, even if he also got beat by Tavares on more than one occasion. He won some as well, though, so a slightly improved rating is warranted (even if it isn’t a pass).

Thiaw (6): Got the job done for the most part, though it should be noted that everything was tough for the defenders as Milan played with a very attacking XI in the final minutes.

Chukwueze (6 – MOTM): Feels like an easy MOTM, given he scored Milan’s only goal of the game and for a while it looked like it would be enough for a draw. He had a very poor giveaway after that, though, hence the rating.

Jovic (6): He didn’t have many minutes on the pitch, but he got involved with some nice flicks/headers and also had a couple of crucial defensive interventions.

  1. Fire Conceição, don’t fire Conceição. Sell 2/3 of the team, don’t sell them. Hire an SD, don’t hire an SD. As long as Zlatan and the gang are around, this club will not amount to anything.

      1. Ugle shirts!
Is that the Belgian football team?
I believe have Fulani in charge is a disaster and Cardinale should sell the club now!

  2. The best thing to do for Cardinale is to sell the club, everything else is just a waste of time.
Also what’s up with those kits? Are they removing our traditional red and black now ?

    1. You just have to imagine the red & black stripes being formed by combining the alternate strip (that Mike wore tonight) with the one the outfielders wore.
      🤦‍♂️

The black version would be nice as a 3rd kit if you took out the green strip.

    2. To me, this alternate kit resembles Portugal’s color scheme. At least in the way it shows on my television.

  3. Tavares man of the match. What a left back! Hes everything Theo isnt, and then some. Sell Hernandez and buy Tavarez. Hes the only portuguese we should have in this team.

    1. Lazio is going to make pretty cash if they resell him right away after they exercise the buy option this summer.

He’s been a revelation this season. 8 assists already, dayum.

      1. Can you lot ever stop fantasising about the transfer market???

Why would Lazio sell a player who is doing a job?

        1. to generate $$.
All clubs try do develop players and sell them.
Football has always been like this. Do you want to return to the 1940s or something?

          1. Lazio are a top 4 Serie A side so what are they doing wheeling and dealing?

But keep defending ‘modern football’ and demanding mediocrity.

          2. Serie a clubs don’t make enough money by other means. E.g. tv rights, not owning their own stadiums.

They need to produce and sell players to survive.

          3. Keep those expectations as low as possible…

Look at how well Tonali’s sale worked out?

Milan ‘made’ 80m and spent +100m and are now 9th.

If football clubs were run like businesses it might clean out some of the chancers wheeling and dealing.

        2. Do you come here just to pick a fight with everyone? I merely complimented Tavares who were having a good season, and to certain extent, Lazio for being able to identify him in a favourable deal and here you are; condescendingly make an accuse of ‘fantatizing’ about the transfer market. Not EVERYTHING about the market is bad.

Don’t come back this summer, because I suspect there will be a major, major overhaul and you probably would have heart attack.

PS. I am NOT usually a fan of the market too, but sometimes that is the necessary evil. Especially with the current state of things.

          1. The transfer nonsense is a consistent issue I have, and is the reason why Milan are in the position they’re in now.

Look at how well ‘cashing in’ on Tonali worked out.

And the worst thing is fans who not only accept this farce but celebrate it.

  4. Honestly We deserved this loss even though the decision for the pen was horror, we played with 0 passion. Hopefully this can be a wakeup call but realistically the management wont change or care so i guess jus hope for the best.

    1. I don’t see how this can be a wakeup call. Last weeks there have been plenty of potential wakeup calls, and it is just every game the same

  5. There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t been said already. But all decisions taken by this ownership and its management is what led us to this. We’re in this mess deservedly.

      1. The ol’ doom and gloom bunch is back aka we told you so aka next time pay attention to when ppl with better insight have something to say? That bunch ? Lol 😂 man the amount of nonsense we’ve had to put up..can’t say I dont feel a bit of vindication

        1. 😂 🤣 😂
That legendary bunch. That iconic bunch that could see the truth where others were blind. Nah

  6. First half 1 / 10.

You can see in first half how Lazio easily create chances they could score 3. So, evidently, someone like Buongiorno is needed in this team. Powerful centre back. It could be Tomori – If he continued to develope, but he crashed.
Gabbia and Thiaw are 2 back up players .
For Hernandez we need back up, he can’t play every game, and you will see he will become stronger.

I would rate team play 7 / 10 in second half.

Together with Fofana strong defensive midfielder. Musah is for bench.

In attack something is missing. We could see so many created chances but only 1 goal. So this team need only a little and not so much…

    1. I agree Buongiorno could help this Milan a lot. I saw him yesterday again. A potent, hard-working CB who knows how to move around.

      1. Yea idea of Red Bird that any player can do the difference. That’s why they bought Pavlovic for only 16 million.
But what’s make a difference is this: he is young unexperienced player, Buongiorno is well known. Price is double up.
That’s why also they bring Morata – more experienced compared to Zirkzee.

When you run a club you must bring mostly high quality players. But Milan is full of average or less average players, hoping they going to develop in the future…

        1. Conceicao have another 11 players on the bench. He should try another player with another system I guess. so Milan maybe can take all over players with same energy. You can see what is Pep doing at City. They sometime with different game play their 2nd GK on the pitch or put Foden at CF. Haha.. but all the players can play with rotation. That is good for atmosphere and have the competition…

    2. Don’t forget Leao also with minimum effort. He’s not the same player when pioli still at the dugout. He has the talent and type play like CR7 but his lazy bigger than his talent. Milan should sell him or change his direction: put him as Striker.

  7. Cardinale has succeeded in killing our darling team, Milan lacks direction at the moment. It will be a miracle if we finish top 8 this season

    1. We’re not finishing top 8, it’s 9th or 10th Roma are in good form and Udinese are in better form than us, it’s over Gerry has failed in his Italian project literally only after two years inheriting a title winning team (really leads me to question his business acumen, perhaps his skills are better suited to the US not Europe context). The entire management is drowning and frankly out their debt, panic buys and panic appointments (fonseca only hired after the fans crashed out on their original choice). Keep Ibra cause he attracts players but teach him the job and decrease his powers

      1. “really leads me to question his business acumen, perhaps his skills are better suited to the US not Europe context). ” Hit the nail on the head right there. Even his New York Yankees exploit was already a team with an underlying structure that lends itself to easy success (large fan base, existing high value players)

  8. The frequent red cards after Sergio was appointed show his approach and character have increased the pressure the players feel. Look at what Ranieri is doing at Roma. Milan need a capable man manager as coach at this point ASAP.
Milan need to give much attention to the Coppa Italia, to win it to make sure they play in the Europa League next season.
Cesare Casadei is doing well at Torino. With Joao Felix, it seems that Ibra chose the wrong Chelsea player in January.

    1. Unfortunately RedBird did something very bad because of accounting. Removing Pioli, instead of helping him to grow Milan stronger.
The idea was to appoint Fonseca, who is by their parameters good enough for Champions League KO and Serie a top 4.

But that destroyed cohesion in team. Pioli was last part of the team after sacking Maldini and Massara and without Pioli, Milan is not a team any more. There are only players left.

      1. IMO the problem was not that they sacked Pioli. The problem is that they did not appoint a better coach than him. Fonseca and Sergio are clearly a downgrade to Pioli.

        1. Yea idea of Red Bird that any player can do the difference. That’s why they bought Pavlovic for only 16 million.
But what’s make a difference is this: he is young unexperienced player, Buongiorno is well known. Price is double up.

When you run a club you must bring mostly high quality players. But Milan is full of average or less average players, hoping they going to develop in the future…

        2. This page repeated posts.

Dude coach and his connection with players are most important. Inter players play the way are they connected with Inzaghi.
          Milan had that with Pioli.

Milan players are much stronger now. Gimenez, Abraham, Pulisic, Reijnders, Fofana compared to Krunic, Messias, Rebic, etc.

Pioli was first he gave Leao chance. No one can expect now that Red Bird say ok Pioli you go out, and now all players should be fine with that.

      2. I agree that Pioli didn’t deserve to be fired bit it has nothing to do with accounting. It was once again caving into the fans, especially the idiots in Curva Sud who were protesting at the matches and wanted Pioli out.

        1. It was over with Pioli and you could see that at the end of the season, also against AS Roma in the Europe League.

      3. Well truth is if reports are correct Maldini actually wanted to replace Pioli (I didn’t read any article quoting him on it). But I did read an article with him saying that much more investment is needed on players, as in they need to start bringing in better players and that a budget of 60 mill just isn’t going to cut it if they were going to be at the top of Europe, frankly he was correct Pioli cycle had come to an end even he admitted it in an interview that he felt he couldn’t inspire the team the way he did in the past, and he was also correct about the transfer budget and the quality of players, 60 mill doesn’t really get you anything if you need starters in multiple positions (ST, CAM depending on formation, CDM, LB, CB). I had never heard of Chuk or musah before they signed with us and honestly so far I see why. Emerson was already failing for spurs what made them think he would prosper in a better team? Morata is better with another ST beside him why buy him if he is to be the sole ST, Pavlovic has potential but we needed an experienced CB with good leadership after losing Kjaer, Tomori and Thiaw are not leaders they need to be guided in defence.

  9. I’ve already adjusted my viewing of games back to the way it was during the Banter Era; just checking in the last ten minutes to see the crash and burn.

Only hope is if Redturd sells everything and f**** off.

    1. If it’s American they don’t criticise.

Musah the reason we played extra CL match.

Pretty useless, I would rather keep RLC than him

  10. You can start with a “good” lineup, but if the tactics are sh!t don’t expect some magic. In the end not only we’re not improving under Conceição but we’re actually getting worse. At least during the first games with him, we were bad but we had some fighting spirit, but now we seem to have accepted our status as a mid-table team. You could say that he achieved a miracle, which is to make the period under Fonseca look somewhat good, which is quite impressive.
I guess the good news is, we’re still 19 points from the first relegatable team, so we can at least avoid relegation.
Maignan: No longer a great reliable goalkeeper.
Jimenez: He can be a useful winger sometimes, but it’s clear he is still far from being a decent fullback. Tavares ate him alive.
Walker: Better than Jimenez, which doesn’t say much…
Pavlović: After few games where looked like our best player, his old habits finally came back. Perhaps his good form was due to him not wanting to leave during the winter and that now he has no reason to be good anymore.
Gabbia: Wasn’t bad but not a great game either. The first goal wasn’t his mistake.
Thiaw: Not bad but not terrific either.
Théo: somehow all the goals we concede are in a way or another due to him… also poor offensively.
Fofana: I reiterate that he should be fined each time he attempts to shoot from outside the penalty box. Also his game tonight was very poor.
Musah: The fact that we looked better after him being subbed out halfways through the first half tells you everything you need to know.
Reijnders: undecisive and very poor decision making.
Félix: somehow he always has to play right ? Did Conceição receive an angry phone call from Jorge Mendes asking him to explain why his boy isn’t playing and the coach had to bring him in ? I was never impressed by him but didn’t expect him to be such a garbage player.
Pulisic: lacked precision and decisiveness. Man I miss the Pulisic from the first 7 or so serie A games…
Leão: Aside from that great cross, NOTHING.
Chukwueze: Aside from that great header, NOTHING.
Giménez: bUt I tHoUgHt A nEw StRiKeR wIlL sOlVe OuR pRobLemS !!!??? I get that he didn’t get a lot of service though, but his few touches were poor.
Jović: Great save towards the end, but didn’t see enough to judge him.

    1. “but his few touches were poor”
That is why no rich club ever wanted him. He is more suitable for mid-table teams who want to get a top 4 spot now and then.

    2. Ofc the touches are poor when your recieve a pass once in every 25-30 min , you lose focus and clarity especialy if u are a striker, it gets frustrating.

    3. Why is pulisic so depressed? What’s going on? Nobody likes playing now. Is there something wrong with the coach? Nobody’s there when someone makes a pass. When somebody’s there, nobody passes.

    4. “In the end not only we’re not improving under Conceição but we’re actually getting worse. At least during the first games with him, we were bad but we had some fighting spirit”

Seriously! When we’re chasing the match and controlling possession, there’s so little creativity in the final 3rd. Everyone is so bloody static and just hoping for a cross in the box… with players who aren’t particularly great in the air. Makes little sense. No rotations. No 1-2s. No combinations. No football.

Instead, we have Fofana taking DREADFUL shots from 20m out.

    5. “Fofana: I reiterate that he should be fined each time he attempts to shoot from outside the penalty box.”

      Hehe.. I agree.

I’m guessing he must score a lot of goals like this in practice.

  11. What’s wrong with Milan? Morata was not good? It won’t be. He wasn’t the best, but at least he fought like a lion. Was the January transfer window excellent? It won’t be. A bunch of useless players were brought in, and Benacer was kicked out. Brought replacement Bondo, so where is that Bondo? The coach was changed, and we got even more chaos.

Now it is necessary to defend the ninth place because Udinese is on the rise. Roma has already passed us by.

And yes, Lazio with Zaccagni, Dia, Isaksen and Tcaouna has no problem with balance 🤣🤣🤣

    1. Dude, we have RW/RM/RB killing it at Roma. Adli is playing for Viola. What are we talking about. There must be a virus in this american software they are using to recruit.

  12. Players and coaches selected by Jorge Mendes.

Idiot ownership and management that doesn’t want to be an Italian side.

Now wearing the colours of the Portuguese national team.

Welcome AC Portugalo! Welcome and **** off!

  13. At least Milan games are not boring. They are very entertaining, eventful, comical.
If Lazio players lost 2 points to this Milan while playing with man advantage the coach should have made them walk back to Rome.
3 losses in a row for Milan. On the broadcast they said that Fonseca didn’t even have 2 losses in a row, but he was a big meany to our prima donnas.
But I don’t blame Conceição. He came into a tough situation, in a league where he has never coached before, in mid season to a broken locker room. The locker room broke vs this same Lazio team in week 3. Fate of this Milan season was decided during that games cooling break.
Most of these players have already given up on the season and have had their 1-2-3 Cancun moment.
On a funny side, this team look awful without Emerson Royal 😂. His injury led to Milan falling in even bigger crisis. Now we know who the most important player on the team was. 😂
Hire a real sporting director who will then hire a coach and they should be allowed to get rid off any player they want, because outside of handful the others don’t deserve to wear the Milan jersey ever again.

  14. Gimenez is another Destro, Cutrone, Matri, take your pick. He relies on good service from teammates otherwise he becomes irrelevant. Abraham is really the only striker we have had in a long time that can create his own chances. The money we paid for Gimenez is just painful.

      1. Yes, Abraham can create chances. He’s and intelligent player and he has above average technical ability for his size.

It’s just a shame we have only seen it in small samples because he’s been relegated to a super sub role even though he’s shown to be a starting level striker throughout his serie A career.

    1. The painful realisation that he is just another Piatek, if not worse will creap in.

It was obvious from few yt highlights but the blind and incopetent management is there to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

      1. I’m not a fan. The guy is known to disappear in big games.

That said if we cannot get the ball to him then it’s a tactical issue until we do.

  15. The club needs an overhaul in all departments starting with ownership down to kit manager. No one in this squad looks like they like coming to the training grounds. If we don’t find solutions this summer we will become United.

  16. our identity is lost
we need italian sd, italian coach & an italian core for the team
NONE of the teams above us have a foreign coach
there are divisions between the coach & players since pioli left. we need unity & to pull together in the same direction

  17. Team has no style, players get forward then stop with no options because we have a team full of ball carriers. We need sharp fast passes. The whole play is so slow it’s easy to defend against us. Even the CB’s act like there is no one to pass to. The tactics have to change.

  18. Banter 2.0.

Cardinale should come to terms with his mistakes. Understand he knows little about football and fire the lot of his leadership. THEN he should call and beg, and I mean beg, Maldini and Massara to come back.

Or he should just sell the club.

The problem is that no one fights for each other. Maldini helped players that came in understand what it meant to be a Milan player. That you’re a family and you fight because you love the club.

No one cares about the club anymore.

  19. Whenever you guys want to admit you were wrong about Conceicao being better than Fonseca I’m willing to listen. The team is so much worse now in every way. The offense is worse and has zero ideas. The defense is worse. The corners are worse. Every player is worse now than they were under Fonseca. Leao, Pulisic Reijnders, Fofana. All worse. Absolute shambles. It is criminal that he hasn’t been fired yet.

    1. The only reason you care so much about this comparison is to draw attention away from your RedTurd bosses. Literally no one cares about whether we are seventh (Fonseca) or eight (Conceicao).

      1. Quite the opposite. How is me criticizing management for firing Fonseca an d bringing in this idiot clown Conceicao drawing attention away from Redbird. It’s more of a cas of you bringing up Redbird to deflect away from the fact that you thought Conceicao was such a great choice. The “Mentality Monster” was going to change everything, right? Isn’t that what you were saying?

    2. You are so desperate it’s actually funny. Nothing woupd be different buddy, and you know that, you just can’t admit it. All that would change is playstyle, no better results. You’re just still butthurt you’re precious Fonseca crashed and burned miserably. Get over it, you angry toddler. He was trash and did no better

      1. He gives off ‘ex who can’t let it go’ vibes.
It’s like “see I told you the 7th placed coach was better than the 9th placed coach” ok K, you win you win. LMAO 🤣 🤣 🤣
If we kept the Fonz, who knows, he might have heard butted a Serie A ref instead and potentially serve a 6 month ban anyway…seeing as he’s always talking about Sarge’s behavior. Don’t know who’s worse Shoutcecaio or Flopseca. Three wins and two losses so far at Lyon lol, nice. Show them that superior coaching ability in Ligue 1 there Fonsy.

        1. The milan fan, de zerbi, who will come to milan if management choose him, now second in france league with Marseille.

        2. 3 wins and 2 losses. The 2 losses were against Marseille and PSG and he kept it close for both games even tho he had just taken over barely 2 days before the game against marseille. Lyon was 5th position when he arrived so we wait and see where he ends with the team he joined in the middle of the season compared with your precious Conceicao.

          1. “The 2 losses were against Marseille and PSG ”
Fair enough. Record still 3-2 though. Results count, that’s why he was fired. …the headbutt (tap on the forehead? ) though….that’s a whole other thing

    3. Truth! Fonseca didn’t even lose 2 games in a row. lol.
These fans are funny. Fonseca made every player look better except lazy Theo and his best friend in laziness Leao. But even then, he still made Leao look good. lol. But since he left all our players have regressed. But what do you expect from a coach that thinks Musah is a better RW than Pulisic and Chuk? The man is clueless af. I even rank Pioli over Conceicao, which should make him ashamed of himself. We look so ugly to watch.

    4. I was rooting for Conceicao. Really wanted him to succeed. But game in and game out just dense decisions and lineups. Players are fed up. No one even looks at him when they get subbed out.

Smells like the end of Sarge.

    5. You’re right and I admit it. Fonzy was at least able to keep us at that 8th spot instead of Sergio who got us to 9th. Not to mention getting players he wanted – Emerson and Morata.

  20. Most of these players have checked out mentally, from poor simple passing to picking the most absurd passing lane or player to pass to.

The problem of compactness is still an issue with this team, players holding on to the ball unnecessarily, players refusing to make the most obvious passes to set up team mates for a better chance.

The play is just too scattered.

    1. Well said, mate. Too many errors in passing. There’s no compactness in defending; the midfielders are always running behind the opponents. So many of our players do not have the strength to run, and mark for 45 minutes. How do they enjoy their pay, with the way they are playing?

  21. Lol. Another of my prediction came true and this lost will not be the last one. We will slip to 10th or 12th at the end of this season.

Oh and yes Conceicau is garbage. No top club in Europe wants him but somehow Milan management hired his ass.

    1. Correction:15th at best! Blood is in the water and those teams hovering around 12th to 16th are nothing to scorf about! If anything, easiest teams to beat from experience are those between 10 to 12 because they really have nothing to aim for and are in the comfort zone. Below that…beat way to describe it is a proverbial vortex of desperation! Imagine playing Como or Torino constantly? Yeah, we are f*cked!

      1. Yeah you’re right. We could be 15th at the end of this season.

Man, it’s sad that Maldini-Masara-Pioli build the team that can consistenly at top 4 in the league, won 19th Scudetto, and even reach semi final CL. But now we’re struggling like the weakest team in the league.

  22. I have been saying this for long Jimenez is not a full back, he does not have the attributes of a full back, why would the coach persist in playing him after all the problems we have had with him recently

    1. Fonseca played him FB once and never did again. Moved him forward immediately. That’s a coach that knows a terrible positioned player when he sees one. Not Conceicao. He’ll keep playing Musah RW even tho he knows he’s garbage in that wing. Smh

  23. Player ratings are useless at this point. The players have given up mentally and do not follow the coach. It’s a surreal situation, seems like fighting the bigger evil that is RedTurd is much more important than the remaining games, bar the Coppa Italia derby.

    1. Bro, They’re following their long ball specialist, cooler sitting, shouting coach. What were you expecting ? Lol
This is actually the first time since Pioli left that Théo and Leao followed their coach instructions . lol

    2. Pretty sure everyone at the club has given up on this season already.

I feel bad for the players that still give a damn. I don’t know what kind of realignment Milan needs to undergo to keep a hold of players like Puli, Reijnders…

  24. The season already end for ACM. 3 times in row lose also close the door to play CL next season. Foreign coach have very slim chance to success with ACM, dont extend Sergio contract at the end of season, he is already losing support from player especially Theo, leao, mainan. Hiring igli tare as DS replace ibra but dont expect busy summer market . anymore due to lacking fund . Sarri are good choice to start re build this team next season. Experience Italian coach was needed for ACM now

  25. We still doing ratings ? Lol it doesn’t even make sense anymore. Season already lost
But since we’re at it, the ratings itself is still trash. MOTM the goalscorer but the provider doesn’t get a pass. Yet goalscorer didn’t provide fck all..yea ratings are trash. Gabbia was the MOTM

    1. Gabbia will be dropped as soon Pavlovic’s ban is complete.

It’s auld triple standards applied to Italians.

      1. Who the fck asked you anything? Aren’t you supporting Como now? Fake @ss fan.
What they got now, one starting Italian against Roma? Dont worry I’ll pre-empt your response….”it’s more than what Milan has starting”….lame @ss response. Goes with your lame @ss reasons for leaving Milan to support Como, the very same issues at Milan. You enjoying the foreign ownership and foreign coach while you’re at it? I notice Como squad barely has any Italians in it. Dumb@ss

  26. Management out. You could say fire the coach and replace players but they will be out anyway if you bring in proper management. So Cardinale, get on the phone and beg like you’ve never begged before and say “Please Paolo, please come back.”

    1. I agree with you on this 💯, I have said this before that this management is crap & they have to go, only if Cardinale bring back Paolo.

  27. We shouldn’t hv fired Fonseca, wait till end of season and hire a more experience coach.
He did better than Conceicao, at keast we can see his tactical purpose on the pitch, although not always successful. And he did a lot better in champions league.

    1. Buddy you do remember that Failseca had us bottom half at one point, right??? Nothing would’ve changed. We’d still be midtable and losing easy games

  28. At this point the only rating that makes sense is a big round zero for everybody: players, coach, managers, owner. This team I don’t know but surprisingly seems to want to be called AC Milan (not even the kit matches) fully deserves its mid-table spot of 9th place. Actually should be lower.

  29. At home and looking like some s**t corporate merger between Portugal and Belgium just to sell kits. Yeah what a great advert tonight was!

We should follow the player name styling on the front and it should say “Milan”, because this is not Milan

I bet the top brass over at our official tequila are fuming they’ve associated themselves with a brand that’s in such disarray.

  30. Bravo bravo.

And with these results Milan now have almost an entire starting 11 of Italians playing for teams above them in the table (plus a squad of other players):

    Behold….

    Calabria Acerbi Romagnoli Darmian

    Brescianini Locatelli Pobega
    Bellanova El Shaaraway

    Maldini

But the thing is Italians just aren’t good enough for this Mighty Milan.

There’s no room for sentimentality or loyalty. Not when you’re competing for 9th place.

    1. What do you think. The owner is foreigner, the scouting manager is foreigner, the coach is foreigner, most of players are foreigner. But the most important thing is team work.

      1. What ‘team’ is there to ‘work’ for?

One of the reasons why having some kind of connection to the place or country where the club purports to be from is so that there is base of a ‘team’.

A ‘team’ that comprises players who will by-and-large be from the area or the country, who have played together for years, who know each other, and who will fight for each other.

This is the start of a ‘team’ which a club then adds players to.

There isn’t any restrictions on foreigners, and nor should they when it comes to the EU, but that doesn’t mean that you try and get a Portuguese team to play in Serie A, or that you actively discriminate against any Italians, or that the club shows no loyalty for their longest serving players.

Without these things there is no ‘team’. Just a random collection of individuals.

  31. Where do you start with this team and these performances.
1st half was really poor. Leao never looked dangerous and probably should have been subbed at some point in the 2nd half. Pulisic had good moments but the final ball was always lacking.
Defensively we constantly look like conceding.

Every game we give up two goals consistently.
Except for v Feyenoord who only managed to get 2 in 2 games past us (🫣).

Gimenez was really poor tonight. He needs to go to the bench. Tammy or Jovic should start the next game. I’d probably choose Jovic.
Our best recent performance was Abraham starting against Roma in the Coppa.

We keep picking the same core group up front with the same tatics. But expecting a different result.

The problems run deep by Conceicao is really making it worse. We should have stuck with Fonseca. League position would have been better and based on his UCL record; we would have finished in the top 8 and be playing as seeded team in the round of 16.

  32. Conceicao now has two games where he has a full weeks preparation.
    Lecce (A)
    Como (H).
Then there is an international break.

I would suggest he has 2 games to save his Milan career.

  33. Sorry I’ve just seen the kit….

    Now they’re taking the mick.

I mean what’s actually left that makes this thing ‘AC Milan’?

They’re somehow allowed to play in the San Siro?

    1. So you are admitting that you didn’t watch the game. You just come on here post game looking for fights on your pet issues.

No actual feedback to give on recent performances.

      1. Oh I freely admit to not watching this thing masquerading as ‘AC Milan”.

But at the very least I should get to enjoy the demise of the people who destroyed the club?

      2. He supports Como now based on his previous posts. Como is foreign owned, foreign coach and one only Italian starting..but somehow comes here and makes tirades that Milan doesn’t have enough Italians

        1. My boy MH doesn’t like Como he likes Curtone. He also loves Locatelli, 4 nations rugby, every player from the Scudetto winning side, and Parma Ham. Oh yeah, he’s obsessed with Italian footballers. He’s nice man just misunderstood.

          1. Are you MH’s alternative account?

If he likes Locatelli why doesn’t he go support them instead ? They got lots of Italians and Italian ownership, can’t say the same for Como.
I’m just pointing out the blatant hypocrisy.

He likes Cutrone? Nah bro. He literally said he likes Como because it’s close by and has a closer proximal connection, yes along with Cutrone for some reason. He said he rooted against Milan when we played Como. That he supports Como now because we don’t have many Italians (Parma ham an.alogy), Como has one single Italian start the last game.

Like I said before, if you applied is own logic about why he stopped supporting Milan, then he’d do the same with Como.

Also didn’t he say will no longer be in the Milan comments section only a few days ago. Why the fck is he here? Oh right, an attention seeking Heuer

          2. Brah, I promise you I am not a MH burner account. 😂😂😂 the conspiracies are real. I don’t side with him on much only that Calabria isn’t bad(he thinks he’s Christ) and two summers ago when he was raging about Krunic being treated poorly by the fans is where I got my handle name from.

Dude don’t waste your time talking to him he’s just here to take victory laps.

        2. Nobody asked me.

But can I at least not rub in all of the ‘I told you so’S’?

(And you also told them so the only difference between us is our tolerances for abusive relationships)

          1. PS my reading comprehension is pristine. Your logic is faulty. You just trying to hide the fact u got called out on your own BS.

  34. Pavlovic is one of the fastest defender I have never seen and he had 30 meters to get Isaksen. His tackle was reckless and stupid.
An example of the ridicolous individual mistakes we see every game.

  35. Milan have a weak owner with a weak vision and appointed a weak management that bought weak players with a weak budget and this weak strategy affects the players and brings weak mentality into the Locker room and with it weak results.

  36. Milan are ninth. NINTH. Worse than Roma who was an absolute DUMPSTER FIRE at the beginning of the season but who turned things around. With someone competent in charge.

    Let that sink in.

Not much else to say really. I wish they would show Ibra’s, Moncada’s and Furlani’s faces on the big screen every time we concede a goal and at the end of every loss. And just keep it there. They show it on TV and each pic is worth a thousand words.

    1. Pippo Inzaghi 10th place finish was the worse finish since the turn of the the millennium. Given the team that he had that was quiet an accomplishment.

    2. I recall saying I said we need a carrot coach and Ranieri would have been good to have as he’s similar to Pioli…man manager and doesn’t force his style on to the team. My oh my. Hard luck..maybe we need to get Hiddink. He was a master stabilizer back in the day

  37. Now we can focus on getting scudetto next season. No need to think about UCL distraction. Our squad need Ricci, Berardi, Buongiorno, Pizzili. Good italian coach
Second stars will be main objective next season.

  38. redbird SELL AC MILAN #sellMILAN #sellMANunited #glazersOUT

AC MILAN IS TRANSFORMING YEAR BY YEAR
IN THE italian EVERTON if redbird do not sell
AC MILAN WILL FIGHT FOR AVOID RELEGATION
    next season like EVERTON

    #maignanOUT #LEAOout #jimenez20OUT #musaOUT #fofanaOUT #THEOout #thiawOUT

  39. AC MILAN WAS ROBBED AGAIN TODAY

ITALIAN REFS ARE PRO INTER , LAZIO AND JUVENTUS

THEY NEVER WILL ALLOW AC MILAN REACH TOP 4

EVERY GAME IS A GHOST PENALTY AGAING US , A GHOST RED CARD AGAIN US , A HANDBALL GOAL AGAIN US WHO THE REFS NEVER SEE … CALCIOPOLI BACK TO THE ITALIAN MAFIA REFS

LOTITO LAZIO MAFIA BOSS STRIKE AGAIN

    1. As a former Ref the calls were very questionable, but when you have players shooting from 35 yards out and the balls landing in the upper deck we beat our selves .

  40. The whole team except for few crippled down!! No motivation, no team spirit, no ideas and no determination!! The coach seems to have lost any inspiration!!! Some players are literally struggling, i.e. Fofana, Pavlovic, Musah, Jimenez, Theo and Leao. They do not deserve a first-team post!!! The coach should have realized this, so he is responsible for this fiasco!!!

  41. I did not see the last 20 minutes, and I just watched the Lazio build-up that led to the penalty. Wow, Leao just jogged back and left Guendouzi alone to dribble down the right? Zero sense of urgency late in a tied match.

    1. Leao had already assisted a goal so he didn’t need to defend. That’s how it goes. He’s so amazing that he can leave the defending to others. Just read the what the fanbois have to say about him.

  42. He keeps playing out of form players- Theo, Felix, Alex(not a RB, he showed that in the last game), Mike (mistake prone these days)

  43. Love the Gabbia hate everywhere. Was perfect but gets a passing 6. Milan and it’s fans really do hate italians now. Primavera player also so has the deepest connection to the badge but people don’t care at all.

  44. Dear Redbird brown nose,
No scudetto, no plan, no stadium, no integrity. I’m happy for you guys the balance book is healthy (maybe). And It will still be healthy without UCL next season (you think). After all, for you guys healthy sheet is more important than trophy.

  45. Milan lack a leader. Say what you want about him as a player but when Calabria was captain last season there seemed to be unity in the team (also probably due to Pioli’s presence as well). A united team will always be hard to be beat. Fonseca destroyed that by changing the roles and causing issue. First rule of coaching…If it’s not broke don’t change it.

  46. The problem is from Acmilan management poor ability to give us Quality players that’s needed no quality signing on wingers and pure attacking midfielder so in my views I advised Acmilan should be playing the 4-3-3 until end of season where the management will have sense to spend more imagine teams like arsenal, Madrid , and others spend money and give coach quality players please let’s leave conceicao alone is not is fault we need high quality players we need players like Kelvin debrun, Le kanglee or Thiago Almanda and samardzic for attacking midfielder, we need wingers from Brazil to replace Pulisic we still leave leao has some how being helping we pure defensive and central midfield to replace Fofana and musah. As simple as it is.

  47. I think Fofana is way more irritating than musah to me he just dropped to ground zero the most annoying part is his shooting ability worst on earth anytime he plays shot I think he should be fined

  48. ACM should protest the American owners! They fired Maldini after he had helped ACM going through a desaster period under the Chinese ownership. Maldini is ACM’s icon, legend, and soul. Ibrahimovic does not have what Maldini has in his mind and his heart. Nobody can be Maldini and Maldini is ACM’s savior.

  49. Pav – tactically incompetent. 1st half kept running to the opposition box. Blocking Theo’s runs, so we blame Theo for not making runs. Pav left a massive gap in defense. Fofana covered, result is whenever Fofana went forward he had to run the length of the field, we blame fofana for tired shots. Musah was left as the one man midfield, so let’s blame Musah for being out numbered.

Jimenez – did not talk, cover, or tackle. He is not a RB & tried to play as an attacking winger leaving gaps across the right flank. Pulisic & Gabbia spent the first half covering the gaps.

Leao, oh Rafa. Tries to convince defenders he is harmless before a darting run or splitting 121. There was no crosses coming from pulusic, so it’s Rafa’s fault, no theo or fofana to bounce balls off, it must be Rafa’s fault.

We blame Leao, Fofana, Musah, Tamori, Royal, Thiaw… but never ever blame the incompetent Pavlova… why?

  50. “Cardinale told me that Massara and I were fired, justifying it with the bad relationship with Furlani and saying a joke about the Champions League semifinal we lost against Inter. In one year I had just one chat and 4 text messages with him.”

“Furlani communicated to me a low budget for this season, but after my departure it was doubled. Pioli? He should be thanked, but giving him tasks that are beyond his control will make him increasingly lonely.”

“I was asked to prepare a plan to win the Champions League. I drew it up with Massara and a consultant friend, I sent it but was never given an answer…”

“Scaroni says the team is united without me? Milan deserves a president who only serves its interests and managers who don’t leave the team alone. I have a different concept of sharing and group.”

Now I am going back to that interview on this site for all those smarta*s Gerryboys comments. Should be entertaining.

  51. I am 43 years old, and i have been watching Milan since i was 5/6 years old, by far this is the worst Milan i ever saw, From the president to the management and the players……. Shame on you all!!! I cannot stand watching a Milan’s game, not because we loose because, we have lost in the past too, but the way we are loosing is that hurts. Watching Theo running back to defend like a sisi, if you give your heart and your 100% and loose we understand we will be proud still. But the way we are loosing is unacceptable!!!

  52. AC Milan is just an asset on some guy’s portfolio. Maldini and Pioli did the imposible, and they saw an opportunity to milk the cow until the very end.

They really thought Maldini wasn’t as bright and all was due to Pioli and the boy’s morale.

Abate was doing wonders but Zlatan chose Bonera why? because of nepotism.

Zlatan hire a bunch of inepts and the club is a mess.

I tell You, Zlatan wants to be the next Mino Raiola, not the next Berlusconi.

  53. I can’t believe that this rating gave Musah 5. Do you know if it wasn’t for his wrong passing, we wouldn’t consume the first goal.
He kept repeating the wrong passes until Leao got angry at him.
I don’t understand how could Concesao let Binnacer leave to replace him with Musah.
Both Musah and Fofana are useless and a weakness points to the team.

  54. This is a team composed of a few really strong players and the rest are decent. If the strong one underperform as they have all year this is simply an average team at best.

  55. Honest question: Everyone keeps saying “sell the club”… but who’s actually going to buy this club and dump the kind of money that would actually turn this club around?

There’s (most likely) no European football next year, a poorly constructed roster, supporters who hate the owners, years of bureaucracy to build a new stadium (if even)… the economics of it doesn’t make much sense.

And if they were to sell right now, they would get such a raw deal that they probably wouldn’t accept.
