Alessandro Plizzari has sent a message to AC Milan over his playing time amid rumours over his future beyond the summer.
Currently the Rossoneri’s third choice behind Gianluigi Donnarumma and Pepe Reina, Plizzari’s impressive performances at the U20 World Cup have called for some to suggest he may be able to replace the former should he be sold.
Speculation persists that former Milan sporting director Leonardo wants to take Donnarumma to Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming transfer window.
Plizzari meanwhile made six appearances for the Primavera this season as they suffered relegated, and now the 19-year-old has spoken about his future.
“I want to play,” Plizzari told reporters ahead of Italy’s U20 World Cup semi-final against Ukraine.
“I improved when I was on loan at Ternana last year because I was constantly on the pitch.
“I hope to have a few chances to play at Milan too. It will be tough, but I like a challenge and I know how much I can give.
“After the World Cup, I will have a good think about my options.”
