PM: Brescia star not a priority for Milan – €25m Bundesliga defender the main target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not made any attempts to sign Brescia defender Andrea Cistana at present as they are focusing on other targets, a report claims.

Seriebnews claimed last week that Milan and Brescia have finalised the transfer of yet another young jewel, as the 23-year-old centre-back will make his move to the Rossoneri official in January, but the defender should remain with La Leonesa until the end of the season.

BresciaOggi (via MilanNews) then added that Cistana is indeed a player that the Rossoneri are following closely despite their relegation to Serie B, however he is more of a target for next season, because of the knee operation and his absence from playing over the past few months.

According to the latest from PianetaMilan, there is currently no agreement between Milan and Cistana or with his club Brescia. He is being followed closely by the Rossoneri management, but to date there has been no acceleration and he is not considered a priority.

That is because the main target at the moment is Ozan Kabak of Schalke 04, who could be available for even less than the current €25m asking price given the financial problems the Bundesliga side are struggling with.

Hellas Verona’s Matteo Lovato could also become a concrete target, but given the uncertain future of Musacchio and Leo Duarte it seems a centre-back is almost certain to arrive.
