There may still be two games in the Serie A season to go but rumours about the upcoming transfer window are rife, and an axis between AC Milan and Fiorentina continues to be the centre of a lot of attention.
Calciomercato.com recently reported that Milan have not given up on Fiorentina star Nikola Milenkovic – one of the main objectives of technical director Paolo Maldini to reinforce the defence – though they added that Napoli and Manchester United are also keen on the €35m man.
According to a report from PianetaMilan, in the last few days there has also been talk of Milan’s interest in Viola winger Federico Chiesa, but the outlet claims that there has never been any contact between the Rossoneri and Fiorentina for these two players.
Chiesa and Milenkovic are two young stars that Milan are following, but they have not yet made any kind of attempt. Another name is that of Lucas Paqueta, as the Brazilian has been linked to Fiorentina on several occasions, ‘clear denials’ have arrived regarding interest from Florence.
Therefore, considering the aforementioned, it is clear that there will be no exchange between Milenkovic and Paqueta, another idea that has emerged in recent weeks.
