PM: Milan want to close another Hauge-esque signing as €12m Belgian playmaker is targeted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini is targeting another Hauge-esque coup, a report claims, though this time his eyes are on Belgium.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Milan have their eyes on Club Brugges playmaker Charles De Ketelaere. Atalanta have him on their wish list, but Milan are following him with interest and are evaluating whether or not he is ready for the jump to a big club.

With the futures of Brahim Diaz and Hakan Calhanoglu still to be resolved – plus the fact Frederic Massara always has an eye on the Belgian league – it could be a perfect match.

According to PianetaMilan, Paolo Maldini has targeted another signing like the Hauge one – i.e. a talented young player who is a bit of a wild card but requires a small economic outlay.

He has shown himself to be a talented player not only in the Jupiler Pro League but also in the Champions League as his team almost knocked Lazio out in the group stages. Under contract until June 30, 2023, he would cost just €12m.

Milan would like to move as early as January to anticipate the European competition, exactly as they did a few months ago to sign Hauge.
