PM: Probable starting XIs for Napoli vs. Milan – Rebic set for start; Gattuso forced into changes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face arguably their biggest test of the season so far when they make the trip south to face Napoli on Sunday.

They will have to do so without head coach Stefano Pioli and his assistant Giacomo Murelli, who are positive for Coronavirus and will have to stay at home. Daniele Bonera will be the stand-in head coach for the game at the San Paolo.

In terms of team news, PianetaMilan reports that the doubts regarding the starting XI are to do with the three players who will play behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

On the left in particular there is a battle between Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao: the Croatian trained all week at Milanello and recovered from his elbow injury, while the Portuguese played with Portugal U21 side and may have picked up an injury.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.

For Napoli, it is becoming increasingly likely that Tiemoue Bakayoko and Victor Osimhen will miss the game, which is a big blow for the hosts. Clinical examinations speak of shoulder dislocation for the latter, with a 4-3-3 now expected.

TRAINING NAPLES: (4-3-3) Ospina; Di Lorenzo, Manolas, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Fabian Ruiz, Demme, Zielinski; Lozano, Mertens, Insigne.
