PM: Uncertainty hovers over Ibrahimovic’s Sweden call-up – the stance of Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been called up by Sweden for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo and Greece, but there is uncertainty surrounding the situation.

Coach Janne Andersson has already admitted that he wants Ibrahimovic to play a part in the games, but as per PianetaMilan the 39-year-old striker is still injured. The Swede will not play tonight against Atletico Madrid due to an Achilles tendon problem, so it raised some eyebrows that he was called up.

It is not certain that Ibrahimovic will actually travel and play for Sweden though, as per the report. The club for their part would prefer Ibrahimovic to stay at Milanello to recover fully from the injury and be ready for after the international break, but the final decision will be up to the player.

Zlatan just recently stated that he has to listen to his body, so he may deem the wisest choice to recover without rush.
