MN: Pobega’s ascent continues – how he earned the trust of Pioli and Mancini

By Oliver Fisher -

The last few months have certainly been positive for Tommaso Pobega both at club and international level, a report has outlined.

MilanNews writes how since the start of the season Pobega has already had two important firsts: his full debut with Milan in the 4-2 win against Udinese at San Siro, and then his first goal for the club in the Champions League victory against Dinamo Zagreb.

What must be added to this is the continuing increase in trust from Roberto Mancini, who has called up Pobega for the Nations League matches in the current break and he came off the bench against England at San Siro on Friday night.

Milan believed in Pobega and after a series of loans they decided to keep him at the club, especially after Franck Kessie’s exit. The Ivorian, with his farewell, left a hole in the squad but Pioli has chosen to look for new tactical solutions with Tonali and Bennacer, plus the characteristics Pobega has brought.

Pobega has shown his physicality, dynamism, work rate and a great ability to make the right runs (such as the goal against Dinamo) making him a very good option from the bench, and one that can still improve.
