The Primavera duo Andrea Bartoccioni and Alex Jimenez have been called up by AC Milan’s first team for the game against Juventus tomorrow. Of course, this is due to a few key absences.
Mike Maignan, Marco Sportiello and Theo Hernandez will all miss the game against the Bianconeri. With just Antonio Mirante and Lapo Nava left as the goalkeepers, Stefano Pioli has decided to call up the Primavera’s goalkeeper Bartoccioni.
As for Jimenez, who has trained with the first team quite a lot, he has been called up as a result of Hernandez’s absence. This is also why both missed the Primavera’s clash against Roma earlier today, which ended 0-0.
None of them are expected to feature but it’s still important to have the depth just in case. Davide Bartesaghi is the No.2 for the left-back spot behind Alessandro Florenzi, while Nava will get the chance in the event of a Mirante injury/sending off.
Florenzi isn’t getting any younger! Jimenez and Bartesaghi could use the experience, as could Nava in place of Mirante…
