GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Fiorentina – no changes expected from Lazio win

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli should not make any changes to the starting XI for the game against Fiorentina compared to the side that beat Lazio.

According to what is being reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), it should be an unchanged defence of Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez in front of Mike Maignan.

Ismael Bennacer is still not 100% and should start on the bench with Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie getting the nod in the double pivot. Junior Messias is favoured to start over Alexis Saelemaekers, with Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao completing the trident behind centre-forward Olivier Giroud.

The two doubts at the moment are regarding Brahim and Messias, but both have a 70% chance of starting over Bennacer and Saelemaekers as per the paper.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Fiorentina XI (4-3-3): Terracciano; Quarta, Milenkovic, Igor, Biraghi; Bonaventura, Torreira, Duncan; Gonzalez, Cabral, Saponara.
