AC Milan will play one more friendly before the resumption of the Serie A season against Salernitana, and that will be against PSV Eindhoven on 30 December.
As reported by Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), the game against the Dutch side will actually offer a much-needed chance to experiment tactically because of the centre-forward crisis at present. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still out and Olivier Giroud will be on vacation after the World Cup, while Divock Origi has picked up an injury.
Therefore, against PSV the head coach Stefano Pioli could use a false nine, already tested in the past with mixed results. The main option seems to be Ante Rebic who showed in the match against Udinese that he can lead the line, netting a brace in that game.
The second choice could instead be Charles De Ketelaere, who has already played as a false nine at Club Brugge and in some segments at Milan. The Belgian starts back in the hierarchies though, while Marko Lazetic could be used but does not seem to be an option heading into the Salernitana game.
