With four very capable centre-backs, AC Milan have lined up with many different pairings this season, relying a lot on the form to make the decisions. In the latest Pub Chat, Lorenzo and Stefano have dissected the situation.
Heading into the season, Milan knew that the heart of the defence was an area of strength, with Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori to rely on. However, with each of them struggling for form at different times, there has never been a set pairing.
Equally, there has been a pretty complex discussion regarding who is actually Milan’s best centre-back, all things considered. As such, Lorenzo and Stefano decided to discuss the matter in the latest edition of Pub Chat, especially in light of Pavlovic’s strong display lately.

I cboosed 2 center Gabbia n Pavlovic, caused Tomori or Thiaw sometimes made some blunders. But Thiaw is young player need minutes playing. Tomori is overated player. And Kalulu is better than Tomori.
Liked i always commented Milan must choose coach who can have playing system and have interest focus on young player like De Zerbi, Kloopp, Ten Hag, Like Milan focus right now. Everyone can see Milan’s selling player thats blunder like CDK, kalulu, kerkez, viera, etc. Milan must build from zero, senior team n youth team must have same role, same playing system, same tactic, like Barca do at la massia, n senior team. Like Ajax if senior team sold, young player no need long time adaptation with senior team if them promote to chage senior team. And not depend on transfermarket looking for the player who sold, but automaticly just choose young player on youth team = PROFIT
