During the shareholders’ meeting that took place yesterday at Casa Milan, president Paolo Scaroni made some interesting declarations regarding the new stadium project.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the plan to build a new stadium is being examined by the public debate process which recently began and will end on 18 November. The only certain thing is that the Rossoneri want a new home at any cost.

The public debate is drawing to a close with only four more meetings between now and 18 November. At the end of this phase, it will be up to the co-ordinator of the Council of Milano to draw up a report on what has emerged which will then be sent to Milan and Inter.
Although Gazidis yesterday during the assembly spoke of ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ it is not yet certain that after the public debate things will accelerate. Everything could be further delayed if changes to the project were requested or if there were an appeal.
A new stadium with Inter remains the first choice solution for Milan as the project was presented three years ago and it has been costed at €1.3bn, with a revenue of €40m per season for each club expected.
Despite this, Scaroni did not rule out other possibilities and even suggested that the door is not completely closed on moving away from San Siro to build a new home alone.
“We are also working on other hypotheses because we are not satisfied: other solutions can be opened, even where we build it ourselves,” he said.
The number one alternative remains Sesto San Giovanni, already visited by Cardinale during his trip in May as he visited the former Falck steelworks site and the mayor of Sesto San Giovanni also gave his ok to a possible project.
This should happen by around the year 2100, I reckon.
