Christian Pulisic Milan

Pulisic has belief in Milan to continue building: “Cannot spend €100m on one player”

Christian Pulisic has played a pivotal role in AC Milan’s successes in the past 18 months, and this goes for things on and off the pitch.

There have been few better players in the world, let alone in Italy, than Pulisic since he arrived in Milan last year. On the pitch, he has been among the best forwards in Europe for numbers, and off the pitch he has helped drive the American fanbase numbers up.

His signing can only be seen as a success, and he has already paid back the fee that the Rossoneri paid for him. For this reason, the talks of a new contract make a lot of sense, even if the reason is solely to protect the club from low bids from interested parties.

One of the other big reasons to like Pulisic is his understanding of the club’s goals, and when speaking to Harvard Business School he admitted he has faith in the club to progress, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.

On building the squad further…

“The club cannot spend 100 million euros on just one player. But they are buying quality players, and it is obvious that there is a lot of thought behind the construction of the squad.”

    1. 60 mil on Douglas Luiz and BUST. Can you imagine how much that hurts??? That’s Guintoli for you.

Would you trust the current management and scouting to spend that much on a signing and actually land quality??

      1. 50M. And he was injured a lot. On the other side one koop is working out for them.

And nah. I wouldn’t trust them to buy eggs for my breakfast let alone players in 50M range.

      2. So you want to tell us that is worse than Pavlovic or Emerson ? Douglas Luiz will go back to PL and for a similar transfer fee. Who will buy this deadwood Milan got?

        1. Milan didn’t buy Emerson to be sold for profit. They bought him to become a Milan legend. A legend who will play into his 50s and never leave the club.

      3. “Would you trust the current management and scouting to spend that much on a signing and actually land quality??”

Touché!!! Think of Origi but with 100M€ transfer fee as in addition to the salary.

    2. If they are not going to spend 50m+ on player then champions league qualification is the best we can do.

If we got Osiman & Ricci we could the rightly challenge and not make up the numbers

      1. Osimhen has a bitc* character.
As soon as he hears that some high quality PL or Real/Barca wants him, he will throw a tantrum on us. No need to sign him I guess although his performance on the pitch is amazing

  1. “but they are buying quality player” in these past to summer transfer only 3 has proven to be a good signing puli fofana reijnerds rest mediocrety or decentg

    1. We lose players like Kalulu or Pobega or Adli. Becauae not good managment and not good coach. Those players play great role at his clubs.
De ketelare play best football with great coach,so we dont have good coach at all.

    2. I wish people would gi back and look at their reactions to the signings. Some panned out, some didn’t. Everyone I read thought Chuck was going to be great. Easy to complain now.

  2. “but they are buying quality player” in these past to summer transfer only 3 has proven to be a good signing puli fofana reijnerds rest mediocrety or decent

  3. Acmilan should build their intensity with pressing the midfield of opponent and attacking the opponent to score goals leao and chukwueze and big tasks to score at least two goals because they need to penetrate the opponent defence to score goals while benercer or Reijnder plays the attacking midfield causing pressure and havoc to opponent scoring goals also being aggressive in attacks and counter attacks supporting the winger to score goals then Calabria or tomori should replace Emerson royal because Calabria can push attacks and can score goals with short into the opponent box the Theo or Jimenez will play from the left back only that Jimenez will need to release short to score goals when necessary. Or support leao to score goals and this system provides strong flexibility, mentality and tactics for 4-2-3-1 to weak opponent

  4. I don’t see a problem in spending “only” 20 millions a player. The likes of Theo, Bennacer, Tonali were also brought in for around 20 millions more or less but they were structured acquisitions.

The problem is they’re buying without any plan and mostly garbage that don’t even fit the system. In two summers under Gerry they brought in 15 players from which only 3 of them (Puli, Reijnders, Fofana) turned out to be added value. 3 out of 15!

200 millions later and this team is mediocre and still without proper depth. That’s just unacceptable.

Don’t get me started on the choice of coach…

    1. This. It’s usually not how much you spend, but how you spend it. They could have spent 1bn, buying ten 100m players and good chance only 1 would turn out to be a good one. That’s 900m down the drain. Moncada sucks, Ibrahimovic is an amateur and I don’t even know what Furlani does.

      1. Yeah. I don’t see Atalanta splashing out 50-100M€ on a player but they do seem to be managing “just fine”. Have been for years actually.

  5. Yep. We sign De Ketelaere for 35M, were unable to explore his potential and then sell the man for peanuts to a rival, where he’s playing wonderfuly.
    That’s smart business…

  6. Can’t spend 100 on one but we can spend 80 on RLC, Pavlovic, Musah, and Cukwazee. Not to mention who we lost. So sick of these lies. #cardinaleout

  7. Please Pulisic as you are beloved, please pay attention to football and do not attempt to defend this ownership and management. The anger is already at the tipping point.

Whether they spend 100mill, 80, 50, or even 10 they are all terrible and should not be here.
Don’t give them any excuse like they have done any good even with what they spent.
Please stick to the great football you play and stay outta this.

  8. If we signed 1 x 100m players since the Scudetto and added that to the Scudetto winning side which included Maignan, Theo and Leao, we’d have a team with about 5-6 world class players, and a base that has played together for 4 years.

Instead we signed [lost count] and have sold or frozen out the majority of the Scudetto winning squad.
