AC Milan are in the process of finishing the contract renewals of three-star players, according to recent reports, which will be welcomed by the unhappy fanbase.
This has been a bad season by all accounts and Milan must be proactive and ambitious moving forward to keep fans on board, with protests becoming more frequent and vocal in the past month.
One of the big problems of the supporter base has been the lack of ambition shown by the club financially, with it seeming like the Rossoneri are prioritising accounts over trophies, as a report suggested earlier in the season. However, news of three new contracts could settle things slightly.
As Milan News confirms, the Diavolo are ‘practically done’ when it comes to ‘armouring’ Mike Maignan and Tijjani Reijnders. The Frenchman will see his salary rise to €5 million per season, whilst Reijnders’ new deal should see him pocket €3m a season. Additionally, Christian Pulisic should be given a new deal which will see him earn between €4-5m.
Whether Theo Hernandez will receive a new contract or not is yet to be seen, especially after reports suggesting he could extend his deal and still depart. However, a meeting took place this afternoon between his entourage and Giorgio Furlani, so progress could be made soon.
It was reported that the January mercato would be spent ensuring that key players had renewed, so the news that these deals are in the works is only a positive thing for the upcoming month and beyond.
This would number the Rossoneri core at 6, including Fofana, Gabbia, Leao, Maignon, Pulisic and Reijnders. Will Theo join the list?
When thinking about the coming Winter and Summer Transfer windows, who fits best with this core? Or are they already in the squad and ready to produce at the same level as the core?
My sense is that this core might be better than any other Serie A core, but that the rest of our squad may rate in the bottom half of the table.
Do you understand that this is not important anymore ?
After two season, where we can accept account sustainability, we got now in third season, where, they will paradoxically lose much more money because they didnt invest enough and on time.
What is point of anything if you dont have results on the pitch ?
You must invest strong enough to gain later money from sporting results
This story is garbage because since the last four seasons we hear and read this type of stories without anything happening so please tell us another story
They will be sold in the summer if the right offer comes anyway.
If they’re not holding a pen to paper these stories aren’t worth the pixels they’re displayed on. We heard it for years with Donnarumma and Kessie.
According to reports, Theo Hernandez and his entourage were told he can leave Milan in January.
Has anyone bothered asking them if they want to stay? Or did they renew them after the Inter and Real games?
I’m sure after the Genoa match they’re now more than ever committed to the glorious and ambitious Milan project. We’re heading to the 2nd and 3rd stars and they want to be part of it. 😀
jeri thinks like a homeless who believe he’ll be super-rich by become TikTok streamer just because he live in Milan, no need spend nor hard-work.. delusional
Theo is out of form. He has looked tired since the Euros. He might need this rest.
Then sign a new contract with him and keep him.
Also, keep Jimenez if we can.
Start Jimenez to the right and Theo to the left in the future.
If we can keep Mike, Theo, Leao, Reijnders and Pulisic playing like this it’s a bonus.
We need a new coach but not sure who is available that is good enough.
Many are good enough for this job ,the management just choose fonseca out hate for the Italians, now
Mancini
Allergri
Sarri
Out side Italy
Consacioa
Klop
Etc.
Why say u are not sure if whom is available?
Why do i have feeling that we gonna read this 57 more times until it (eventualy) happen
…practically done.
Then we are only a few steps away from
… “the next few days will be crucial” and
… “the entourage of player X and ACM will soon meet again” and
… The decision is soon to be made”
As usual I rest assured of the competencies of the clubs management. /S
