AC Milan have been dealt a big blow on the eve of their clash against Juventus, and it involves Christian Pulisic.
The American winger has been the standout player of Milan’s season so far, and this was the case as well last season. Not only is he a leader in terms of contributions, but he is also a reference for the attack.
It can also be suggested that he uplifts the attack, and with him being moved more centrally, he has been able to dictate games more, which has been noticeable.
With this, his value has also risen, which is due to make the management smile, even if there are, imaginably, no intentions of letting him go.
The game against Juventus on Saturday is pivotal to the Rossoneri’s campaign, and it is a game where Fonseca will look to Pulisic.
However, he may not be able to do so.
As Sky (via Milan News) writes, the attacker is ‘not at his best’ so his position as a starter is in doubt.
In the past two days, he has trained rarely, the report continues, and he will be assessed ahead of the game.
Should he not be fit enough to start, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is ‘ready’ and Fonseca will give him the nod.
milan lost already
Uh oh. There goes in smoke any possibility of beating Juve. Without our most prolific scorer/assister, it’s hard to imagine how we’d win this game.
On the other hand, even if he plays, it’s not guaranteed that he will be of any help. Pulisic often comes back from international duty not at his best, and not as effective. Going all the way to North and Central America to play for his national team is draining and tiresome. He needs a few days to fully recover. He has had very mediocre performances in similar situations.
The other issue is that CONCACAF is FAR more physical than most regions, and by that, I mean in the second match against Jamaica, he endured at least three fould which would have drawn a red card in UEFA. Two of them weren’t even called fouls, though the third did get a yellow card.
MANY of Pulisic’s muscle injuries and ankle injuries have come after CONCACAF opponents have kicked the, let’s say “snot,” out of him.
It would be unfortunate if Timothy Weah was the most prolific American on the pitch, tomorrow.
And the pitches are horrendous.
Ruben is any capacity is not an alternative to Puli. The circumstances are begging for a 433 with Chuk on the RT and Reijnders advancing more vertically. Musah and Fofana to cover.
Yet, unlike before, Fonsy isn’t willing to adapt.(Allegedly, who knows what’s going on in his mind?)
I would honestly would go either Morata there or Liberalli, RLC is a 4M/per year parasyte
Play Reindjers in the number 10. Fofana bd Musah in the middle. Chukwueze and Leao on the wings, Morata through the middle or Tammy
why can’t he try liberali once
Cause Lack of physis
Because he’s a 17yo mid who has 0 goals and assist in serie C
Why the fûck would you play him? And vs juve?
The f is wrong with you people..
I wouldn’t say anything if he was world beating guys in serie C, but he isn’t..
Think FFS!
maybe but he can do a better job than rlc
Cue the guy from Nigeria who keep calling for a 4-3-3 with Chuk instead of Puli. You are going to get your wish
Hope this galvanizes the team!
this is about the dance unfortunately.
