Pulisic eyeing two personal records in Milan’s final game of the season

AC Milan will be up against Monza for their final game of the season tonight, and while it’s mostly pointless, Christian Pulisic has a lot to play for.

The Rossoneri will be without European football next season, as has been confirmed already, and they thus have nothing to play for tonight. The same goes for Monza, who have been relegated to Serie B after an incredibly poor season.

The Curva Sud, Milan’s ultras, have announced that they will leave the game in the 15th minute, which should make for a quiet atmosphere. It’s not ideal for Pulisic who, after a positive season, could break/equal two personal records with a goal this evening.

He’s currently on 11 goals in the league, just one goal away from his best goalscoring tally in Europe’s top-five leagues (12 in the 2023-24 season with Milan). Furthermore, with a goal or an assist, he would beat his record for goal contributions in the top-five leagues (20 in the 2023-24 season with Milan).

He got 12 goals and 8 assists in the 2023-24 season, and now he has one more assist to his name for a total of 20 contributions. It remains to be seen if he can break the goal contributions record and perhaps even the goalscoring one as well (although it would require a brace).
