FI: Rabiot deal ‘stalls’ despite Allegri pleas – the reasoning why Milan move won’t happen

AC Milan, despite their best attempts, will probably not bring Adrien Rabiot to the club this summer, it seems. 

There have been demands for a few specific players from Massimiliano Allegri, and one is certainly bearing more hope than the other. The road to Dusan Vlahovic looks positive and possible with the parties beginning official talks today.

However, the road to the other is not as fruitful, at least not right now.

Allegri’s hope fading

Of course, the other big player of interest has been Rabiot, more so with the Rossoneri needing new blood in their midfield. However, he would also add more quality to the side, which is beyond just another body.

So, after a fantastic year in France and with an affordable price tag, the interest in Rabiot is completely understandable, even without the Allegri factor. However, even with the new head coach, Milan will not be successful in their attempt, according to Football Italia.

The midfielder, as they report, is ‘grateful’ to Marseille and has an excellent relationship with the club, so will not push for a move, despite contacts with his former coach. In fact, he is not even willing to use the €10 million exit clause in his contract, so the Diavolo may be better looking at their other targets.
