Raiola remains coy in response to question over future of Milan captain Romagnoli

By Oliver Fisher -

Agent Mino Raiola has spoken about the future of AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli but gave little away regarding the defender.

There are certainly a lot of doubts surrounding the future of the Rossoneri’s captain, who has been at the club for over six season now after his 2015 arrival from Roma. He has lost his status as an absolute guaranteed starter but remains an important part of Stefano Pioli’s defensive rotations having started half of Milan’s 12 league games.

Calciomercato.com reported this morning that Pioli values Romagnoli, as do the club, which is why they would in fact be happy to renew his contract which is expiring in June. Romagnoli would like to stay at Milan which definitely counts for something and there will soon be a meeting with Raiola, who still has the idea of taking his client to Juventus.

Raiola spoke to reporters at the Italian Association Football Agent event in Rome and was asked by Tuttomercatoweb about the contractual situation of Romagnoli.

“The market starts in May. I don’t know, we’ll work,” he said (via MilanNews).
