Rebic on his decisive brace: “I demonstrated what I can give”

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan managed to grab all three points in the game against Udinese this afternoon, although it wasn’t easy for Stefano Pioli’s men. Thankfully, the latter made the decision to bring on Ante Rebic.

The Croatian scored the equaliser just three minutes into the second half, which resulted in the crowd going wild as Milan continued to push on. Theo Hernandez completed the turnaround but there was a twist to the tail.

As Lasagna brought his side back to level pegging, it looked like the Rossoneri were heading for one point. However, in the 93rd minute – after combining with Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Rebic stepped up and scored the winner.

After the game, which thus finished 3-2, the winger was interviewed by DAZN (via MilanNews.it). As you would expect, he was happy with the performance after finally being given a chance by the manager.

On the brace: “I’m satisfied, I finally had an opportunity, I demonstrated what I can give. The most important thing was the three points, we continue to work to improve.”

On the new arrivals: “We took three important players, they brought personality to the team, this can then be seen on the field.”

About the targets: “Let’s continue to work like this, we have to think game after game and work the day, let’s immediately think about the next game.”

The Rossoneri’s next game is against Brescia on Friday evening, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45.
