Ante Rebic and Divock Origi have become two problems for AC Milan to resolve as they are not offering the right guarantees, a report claims.
MilanNews journalist Pietro Mazzara has taken stock of the attacking department available to Stefano Pioli after the latest injury news, remarking that Ante Rebic, Divock Origi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are still in the treatment room.
Those are three important players, albeit with different roles, but unable to contribute to the level expected. The Croatian seems to constantly be the victim of injuries, often muscular, which leave him out for periods of time that are never short. It is a situation that must worry the management, given he earns €3.5m net per season.
Origi also has a sizeable salary of around €4m net per season and has suffered from a delicacy of his muscle fibres, just as he often has in his career. Since he’s been at Milan – where he arrived still injured – he hasn’t been able to make an impact.
Maldini and Massara have been asked to improve the squad with a limited spending range, but it is equally true that the situation is starting to become unsustainable.
I was a big fan of Rebic as he brought unpredictability, skill and determination to the team but he has been really poor for too long now… Frequent injuries haven’t helped him. Origi .. there is not much to say except very, very disappointing. They both need to go, the sooner the better.
