Report: AC Milan and Roma scouts present in Portugal to observe Rangers star

By Isak Möller -

After doing so during the January transfer window, AC Milan continue to monitor one of the best players in the Scottish league. In fact, they reportedly had scouts present at Rangers’ last game to observe Borna Barisic.

Rangers faced Braga in the Europa League Round of 32 on Wednesday evening, advancing to the next round on a 4-2 aggregate score. According to the Scottish newspaper The National, both Milan and Roma had scouts present at the game to watch Barisic.

The Croatian was linked with the Rossoneri already in January, as Ricardo Rodriguez’ departure meant they needed a new left-back. However, as we know, they decided to bring back Diego Laxalt from his loan at Torino instead.

Barisic’s contract with Rangers will expire in 2024, but as the report continues, it will be tough to keep any potential suitors away in the summer. In other words, if the right offer arrives, they might decide to sell the Croatian.
