AC Milan are one of a number of Serie A sides interested in signing Schalke midfielder Daniel Caligiuri, a report claims.
The 31-year-old predominantly plays as a right midfielder, but has been known to push up and play as a winger and can also drop to play right-back.
With his contract expiring in 2020, Caligiuri is believed to be attracting interest from a number of Italian clubs, and German outlet Bild names Milan as one of those clubs.
With doubts over the futures of wide players like Suso, Samu Castillejo and even Andrea Conti, it is highly probably that the Rossoneri leadership will be searching for summer reinforcements on the right side.
With the uncertain financial situation surrounding the club, as well as the realistic possibility of missing out on the Champions League once again, Leonardo and co. may be forced to look for more economically effective options than some of the other wide targets that have been linked.
Caligiuri has seven goals and five assists for Schalke this season in 28 Bundesliga appearances, and has an Italian citizenship.
