AC Milan will take on Fiorentina tomorrow evening and will be without many players. Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao are two of them, working to be back at Stefano Pioli’s disposal for the game against Atalanta.
Leao sustained an injury in the 2-2 draw against Lecce and it was initially believed that he could be back for Dortmund next week. However, his stop will be longer and this means he could return for the same game as Bennacer.
Bennacer has been recovering from the knee surgery he underwent in May and his comeback is finally close. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Algerian could be back in the squad against Atalanta on December 9.
Leao could perhaps be available against Frosinone a weekend earlier, but Milan are not keen on taking any risks. This means that the important duo could return for the same game, giving Pioli a huge boost.
For the game against Fiorentina tomorrow, the 15-year-old Francesco Camarda will be called up due to the injury crisis. He has bagged seven goals for Milan’s Primavera side this season, and you can see all of them here. An appearance off the bench is unlikely, but you never know with the Rossoneri these days.
Thing is: Pioli might no longer be Milan’s coach in December… He no longer has the dressing room under his control, the players are running it.
