Report: Brescia president wants to start auction between Milan and Inter for Tonali – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Brescia president Massimo Cellino wants to start an auction between AC Milan and Inter for the signing of Sandro Tonali, a report claims.

Gianluca Di Marzio said earlier in the week that Tonali has an agreement with Inter, but there is no deal done yet between the Nerazzurri and Brescia with the former stalling due to the demands of their Lombardy neighbours.

Probable new Milan boss Ralf Rangnick likes the player and he would love to have him at Milan, with the 20-year-old currently occupying the top spot in his wish list.

Tonali has previously admitted that he is a fan of the Rossoneri and although Inter and Juventus seemed to be ahead in the race, negotiations have stalled for both clubs and they have lost momentum.

According to FcInterNews, Inter remain the frontrunners to sign Tonali but Cellino has every interest in trying to start an auction. Milan’s interest has not been made concrete yet though and Juventus have turned to other profiles, meaning the Nerazzurri are confident.

If Brescia are relegated then his €40million price tag will be cut further, but Inter are not offering more than €30m plus bonuses, suggesting there is an opening for Milan.

Inter have had an agreement for weeks with the player’s agent, Beppe Bozzo, on the basis of a five-year deal at €2.5million net per season.

  1. We have already Bennacer-Kessie duo performing great, so we should sign only one of Tonali, Florentino Luis or Marc Roca! In that order!
