Report claims Newcastle have joined Milan and Arsenal in race for €60m striker

Newcastle have joined AC Milan and Arsenal in the race to land Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, according to a report.

Doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic means that Milan have been forced to probe the ground regarding a number of potential replacements, with Jovic being one of them.

Calciomercato.com reported that good relations between the Rossoneri and Real Madrid – in addition to those with his agent Ramadani and the friendship between Jovic and Ante Rebic – could see Milan land the Serbia international.

However, it has also been reported that Arsenal are in the running to land the 22-year-old, who has struggled since his €60m move to the Bernabeu last summer.

According to a report on Calciomercato.com, Newcastle are ‘trying to put the spanner in the works’ of Milan by rivalling them in the race to sign Jovic.

Meanwhile, SportMediaset reported on Saturday that Milan are ready to bid €35m+ for the former Benfica man, an amount which may be enough.
