Report: €40m Juventus playmaker could become an option for AC Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi could become a surprise transfer option for AC Milan next summer, according to the latest reports.

Calciomercato.it takes stock of the current market situation by claiming that there could be ‘a lot of traffic’ between Milan and Juventus over the next few months.

The report acknowledges that Juve still hold interest in Gianluigi Donnarumma, who the Rossoneri may have to sacrifice in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, while the same also applies to Alessio Romagnoli – another player the Bianconeri admire.

Milan meanwhile have their eyes on a couple of Juve’s defenders. Merih Demiral was heavily linked over the summer and continues to be a profile that interests them, while Daniele Rugani is also a possible target.

However, the report adds that Federico Bernardeschi could become the latest hot topic of discussion between the two clubs.

Maurizio Sarri is currently using him as a playmaker and the former Fiorentina man is struggling for form. This is where Milan could come in: Bernardeschi is a boyhood fan of the club and it may be the right opportunity to help him ‘re-launch’, though Calciomercato adds that it would not be a simple operation.

The 25-year-old joined Juve two years ago in a €40m deal (as per Wikipedia), and has just one goal in 15 appearances so far this season.
