Report: Florenzi expected to stay as Milan strike €3m deal with Roma

By Isak Möller -

Alessandro Florenzi is expected to remain at AC Milan for the upcoming season, having impressed during his loan spell at the club. In fact, talks have been ongoing for Roma and an agreement has now been reached.

Despite struggling with a few injuries, the experienced Italian made a total of 30 appearances for Milan this past season. He also managed to find the back of the net twice, including a lovely free-kick against Empoli.

According to today’s edition of Corriere di Roma, as cited by MilanNews, Milan have been in talks with Roma to lower the €4.5m clause in the contract. And an agreement has now been reached between the clubs, more specifically at around €3m.

It’s certainly a good deal for Milan given the experience and quality of Florenzi, who showed his importance in the season finale. Hopefully, he can build on what was a positive first year with the Rossoneri.
