Report: Man Utd plans hindered as Milan schedule meeting with agent of €60m striker

By Oliver Fisher -

After a morale-boosting 4-1 win over Lecce on Monday night attentions have once again turned to potential incoming ahead of next season.

The Rossoneri’s desire to sign a new striker ahead of next season appears to be no secret, especially given the doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and general lack of depth in that position already amid Rafael Leao’s inconsistency.

Friday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) confirmed that prospective new manager Ralf Rangnick wants to work with Jovic at Milan and that he is a major target.

However, Fichajes then reported that Manchester United have entered the race to land Jovic as they are interested in acquiring forward depth for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of next season.

Now, the same outlet are reporting that Milan are one of the teams that are most insistent on signing Jovic, and intend to close a deal on the basis of a two-year loan with option to buy.

Milan plan to meet Jovic’s agent Fali Ramadani in the coming days to discuss the situation, and of course there is an advantage as he also looks after the interests of Ante Rebic, a player who is very happy with the Rossoneri and could facilitate the reuniting of what was a deadly partnership at Eintracht Frankfurt.
