Report: Milan eyeing Marseille midfielder and Basel star with 19 goals in 15 games

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have their eyes on two potential reinforcements for the next summer transfer window, according to one journalist.

Rudy Galetti is reporting on Twitter that the Rossoneri management are keeping a close eye on striker Arthur Mendonça Cabral, who plays for Basel in the Swiss Super League and is 23 years of age.

He has 19 goals in 15 games for Basel overall including 11 in 8 league games, having signed from Palmeiras on an initial loan deal back in 2019 that was then made permanent last year, and he finally seems to be realising his potential.

In addition to that, he adds that Milan will not change their stance on Franck Kessie’s renewal having offered a guaranteed €6m net per season to the Ivorian. In the event that he does not decide to renew and leaves for free, Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara seems to be a target as contacts with the entourage of the midfielder are underway, with his deal also set to expire next June.
