Report: Milan have not given up on Chiesa and bid could be made soon – Fiorentina’s stance

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan still have an interest in signing Fiorentina duo Federico Chiesa and Nikola Milenkovic, according to a report.

FirenzeViola – Fiorentina’s equivalent of MilanNews – are reporting that Fiorentina have given Chiesa a deadline regarding his contract situation.

Either he agrees to commit his future to La Viola with a new deal, or they will sell him to avoid not getting a reflection of the player’s true value as time ticks closer to the current 2022 deadline.

Fiorentina know the sale of a big name like Chiesa shifts the balance and forces them to go after a replacement immediately, but they will have the money to do so.

There are no offers for Chiesa at the moment, but Milan are mentioned in the report as having interest and there has apparently been talk that an offer will soon be made. The Rossoneri know that Fiorentina will not give discounts or accept counterparts.

Meanwhile, the report also talks about Nikola Milenkovic, claiming his agent Fali Ramadani would gladly facilitate a move to Milan for his client.

However, Rocco Commisso does not want to sell the player and is firm on his stance: Milenkovic has another two years of contract and even if he does not want to renew this summer he does not need to sell.
