Report: Milan monitoring Fiorentina goalkeeper amid Donnarumma uncertainty

By Isak Möller -

Gigio Donnarumma’s future is yet to be decided. His contract with AC Milan will expire in 2021 and the Rossoneri are keen on renewing it, but the tough part remains finding an agreement on the salary.

The goalkeeper – who is a key player for Milan – currently earns €6m per year and due to the new wage cap policy at the club, it’s difficult to imagine a pay rise. His agent, Mino Raiola, is keen on getting his client what he deserves, hence the complexity.

According to a report from Corriere Fiorentina, as cited by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are keeping tabs on Bartlomiej Dragowski. The Fiorentina goalkeeper has previously been linked with the club as a potential replacement.

Then again, it will all depend on Donnarumma, who seemingly wants to remain at the club. In the event of a departure, though, it will take place this summer and Milan will have to sign a replacement, which is why they are scanning the market.
