Report: Milan monitoring Sarri’s situation as Lazio departure is not unlikely

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are expected to replace Stefano Pioli with a new manager in the summer and there has been a lot of talk about Antonio Conte lately. However, as a report claims, the Rossoneri are also keeping tabs on Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri.

Pioli commented on the Conte rumours during his pre-match press conference yesterday, stating that he’s only focused on the now. Milan are indeed looking around for a potential replacement, though, and there are several names on the list.

According to Il Messaggero, as cited by MilanNews, Milan are keeping tabs on the situation of Maurizio Sarri. His contract with Lazio will expire in 2025 and he recently also changed his agent, with his relationship with the ownership being so-so currently.

The 65-year-old has also caught the attention of a few other clubs, so it might not be straightforward for Milan, but they are at least monitoring the situation. If you had been a subscriber to SempreMilan Insider, you would have known this a month ago when we first reported it.

  1. How are you geniuses obsessed with Motta who has no experience but Sarri is somehow really bad

It really is always flavour of the month with online fans lmao, wonder who you’ll obsess over next year

  2. It is a shame that with Klopp, Xabi and Xavi somewhat available – Antonio Conte leads the pack. There are a number of really interesting coaches becoming available, do not think Conte or Sarri are one of them.
