Report: Milan will soon meet agent Jorge Mendes to discuss deal until 2026 for winger

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will soon meet with the agent of Rafael Leao to discuss the extension of his contract beyond the current deadline, it is claimed.

It seems that the Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu departures and the ongoing Franck Kessie saga has made directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara change strategy, as they are now looking to act early on renewals in order to armour their impressive young core of players.

Alexis Saelemaekers was the first to commit to a new deal as he extended his contract by a further two years on Friday, and Milan are already looking to renew other players who are essential to the squad.

Journalist Nicolò Schira reports that a meeting will soon take place involving agent Jorge Mendes to discuss the future of Rafael Leao and more specifically the extension of his deal – which is currently set to expire in 2024 – until 2026.
