AC Milan continue to deny that they have any kind of agreement in place with Ralf Rangnick over a role at the club, according to reports.
Multiple reports are suggesting that Rangnick’s words on Friday serve as confirmation that he will become the next head coach and sporting director of Milan.
In an interview with BILD, he confirmed that there have been contacts with the Rossoneri, stating: “If I can exclude that I will be at Milan? What can be excluded in football? I can’t exclude it completely.
“Milan asked me for my availability so I informed Red Bull and there were talks with my agent. Then came the coronavirus and more important issues arose,” he added.
According to both il Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) however, the Rossoneri continue to deny the presence of any agreement being in place with the 61-year-old.
Instead, they confirm that contacts were made with Rangnick and his entourage but that no choice has been made. Instead, the club intend to understand how this current season will end and what the scenario will be.
La Gazzetta dello Sport actually provide a direct quotes pertaining to be one from inside Casa Milan: “Contacts yes, but only in the past and in a completely preliminary way, without reaching agreements.”
