AC Milan are seemingly on the verge of announcing the renewal of head coach Stefano Pioli’s contract as he is at the club’s headquarters, a report claims.
According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Pioli arrived at Casa Milan on Monday evening to sign the renewal of his contract, one that will now bind him to the Rossoneri for a further season therefore with a new deadline of 2024.
As a reward for his work since arriving at the club there will also be a pay rise given to Pioli, with the focus for the team very much now on overcoming the next hurdle in his tenure which is reaching the Champions League knockout stages.
There has been consistent growth under Pioli so far with the former Lazio and Fiorentina boss taking the team from the Europa League to the Champions League, then winning the Scudetto last season after an 11-year drought.
According to Manuele Baiocchini of Sky, Pioli has signed a two-year extension – therefore until 2025 – with a pay rise.
