Reports: Correa not at training; deal in next 48 hours possible

By Oliver Fisher -

Angel Correa is reportedly not training with his Atletico Madrid team-mates on Monday as rumours of a move to Milan continue to swirl.

The transfer saga surrounding Correa is one that has dragged out across most of the summer window, but the Argentine remains the primary target for Milan as our transfer expert Vito Angele revealed yesterday.

Angele told us that – according to those close to his entourage – Correa already sees himself as a Rossoneri player.

Our report stated that Milan have made a firm bid of €40m plus bonuses, while a report from AS on Monday suggests that Atletico Madrid have already sorted their replacement.

The Spanish outlet claims that Atleti are expected to complete the €60m signing of Rodrigo from Valencia in the next 48 hours.

Now, a report from Calciomercato.com – who cite AS – states that Correa is not present at training with his team-mates on Monday.

The report claims that the player could travel to Milan on Tuesday or Wednesday to formalise the deal and sign for the Rossoneri.

Sources close to the club have reportedly claimed that Correa is training alone in the gym.
