Reports: Details of Calhanoglu’s contract at Inter emerge – Zaccagni will not be his replacement

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will now work on signing a replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu but it will not be Hellas Verona’s Mattia Zaccagni, a report claims.

According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano and other sources, Calhanoglu is set to cross the city divide and join Inter from Milan on a three-year deal worth €5m net per season plus €1m in bonuses, which is slightly more than Milan’s offer. His current contract will expire next week and he will sign with the Nerazzurri until June 2024 after refusing the offer that the Rossoneri management put on the table some time ago.

Meanwhile, Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews reported there is indeed an agreement between Inter and the 27-year-old with his medical tests set to take place in the next few hours. However, the replacement for Milan will not be Zaccagni contrary to other reports, though there is no confirmation at the moment on any names.

  1. He baked it and served it to us boiling hot
Where are all those sanctifying his name for so long? Wanting him to be paid whatever

    1. That doesn’t change the fact that he would stay if they gave him 4,5 millions. He would be undercover crap in team but he would stay as it’s clear that he goes for more money. In my opinion its stupid to lose players for about 0,5 mil up or down, give him +0,5 mil, extend the contract and then sell him imediatelly for at least 10 mil. Are they going to keep this stupid stubborn transfer politics of losing players for free in future with Kessie, Theo, Calabria etc., as it is already clear that they will not offer them what they want. Calm down a bit and use common sense.

      1. I agree. This insistence on a hard wage cap for salaries is stupid for today’s game. We will not be able to attract too talent and as just show will not be able to keep our own (Donnaruma, Hakan). We CANNOT keep on loosing starting players for NOTHING. It’s insane. We lost 100m in potential transfer $$. Why because we didn’t sign them to extensions. It’s horrible business. We must ask the question: Who is next? Theo? Kessie? Benacer?? Teams in the EPL will gladly double their salary. We cannot nickle and dime everyone. I didn’t like Hakan but he was a starter and would have signed him them sold him if needed. Who will replace him? Do we have a plan B? Now we must spend more $$ on a transfer to get someone. Don’t know what is going on at the club but it’s just horrible business. Don’t forget we didn’t sign Tonali and he is not in the team any longer. Elliot is trash. Sell the Fkn team

  2. Or if they want to save money, they can just get a bag of dirt from Pioli’s backyard on the pitch. It’ll be just as useful as Calhanoglu was last few seasons, but it won’t cost them a dime.

I kinda feel sorry for Inter at this point. Clueless bastards.

  3. Go for Pessina or Isco now, and on RW Berghius. It should be cheap as their contracts expiring in 2022 and on Pessina we have 50% lover price.

  4. Without Calhanoglu Milan would have ended 7th or 8th in the League. This is a big mistake by Milan, Hakan was the only intelligent player on the pitch for Milan, now they lost him. Hakan will thrive at Inter.

    1. Stipic please stop posting under alias. You don’t need to sell your client to us anymore. We finally got rid of him for good.

      1. Your club lost its best player for some chump change and you’re still ignorant. Enjoy a midtable rank in the Serie A for the coming seasons while Calhanoglu will lift trophies.

    2. Don’t be silly!

Calhanoglu is slightly better version of Suso in terms of their contribution to the team.

See the positive changes have been taking playing since Suso left us.

The same can happen to the team after Calhanoglu’s departure. A blessing in disguise?

      1. 98 – Hakan #Calhanoglu is the player with the most chances created (98) in the Top-5 European Leagues in 2020/21.
Numbers dont lie. Let it sink in that without Hakan your sorry excuse for a club wil finish mid table.

        1. But the number do actually lie. Giving corner kicks and freekicks counts for 80% of the so-called chances he “created”… eh, sorry… WASTED.
