Reports: Dortmund, Monchengladbach join Simakan race but defender may be out for a month

By Oliver Fisher -

Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan is no closer to deciding his next move, a journalist has claimed, with two other teams having joined the race.

Negotiations for Simakan seemed to have become more complicated due to the competition of RB Leipzig, but the next week is expected to be crucial in deciding whether the 20-year-old will end up wearing the Rossoneri shirt or not.

According to Sky Germany reporter Max Bielefeld on Twitter, there has been no decision yet regarding whether Simakan will move to the Bundesliga or if he will start a new adventure in Italy with Milan.

Talks with both clubs are ongoing, while he adds that Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach recently got in touch regarding a transfer in the summer. The layer wants to decide in January though and both are a bit late to the party.

Meanwhile, Salvatore Cantone cites French media in reporting that Simakan is likely to be out for one month due to a knee injury.
