Reports: Giampaolo closing in on Torino move; wants to bring Milan man with him

By Isak Möller -

Marco Giampaolo is getting ready to leave AC Milan for good. Although he was sacked by the club at the start of the season, he’s still on the Rossoneri’s wage bill until 2021. This is about to change, several report claim.

According to Pietro Balzano Prota on his Twitter, the track leading the manager to Torino is very hot. The contract, which most likely will be a two-year one, is done with just a few minor details left to solve for the parties.

This also means that Milan will save around €4m gross, as Giampaolo currently earns €2m per season. In the same Twitter thread, Alessandro Jacobone added that it isn’t a coincidence that Rade Krunic has been linked with a move to Torino.

The Bosnian midfielder joined the Rossoneri last summer from Empoli and was a direct request by Giampaolo. Now, the latter wants to bring him to Il Toro, ready to offer him more playing time.
