Elliott Management Corporation chief Gordon Singer has given his approval to Ralf Rangnick’s appointment as the next manager of Milan.
That is according to the paper edition of Tuttosport on Tuesday (as cited by Calciomercato.com), which claims that Singer was impressed with Ralf Rangnick’s ideas regarding the revival of the club.
The German manager wants a Milan squad made up of young players with high potential – a vision the Elliott UK boss approves of – and only the signatures are missing.
However, today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the various speculation doing the rounds in the media has had a far from positive impact on current head coach Stefano Pioli.
The paper notes how Milan have a crucial Coppa Italia semi-final return leg to contend with against Juventus and as Pioli continues to prepare for that, he feels his position is ‘weakened’ as he does not know how the group will react with yet more revolution on the horizon.
