Reports: Ibrahimovic agrees to extend Milan deal but his exit looms – what is next for the Swede

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reached an agreement to extend his deal until the end of the season but his time at Milan will end after that, reports claim.

Speculation has been rife about the future of the Swede, and the majority of speculation has suggested that he is ready to leave the Rossoneri after his confrontation with CEO Ivan Gazidis – which we were the first to report.

According to Monday’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic wants to close his second Milan adventure and leave with a few goals to help the club secure a place in Europe for next season, once he has recovered from his calf injury of course.

Then, he will return to Sweden where he wants to take up a dual role as player-manager at Hammarby, the club he owns 25% of the shares in.

Meanwhile, La Stampa (via MilanNews) note how Ibrahimovic’s contract with Milan is due to expire on 30 June, but the striker has reached an agreement with the club to end the season with the Rossoneri.
