Reports: Kalulu stretchered off against Atalanta – the latest on his condition

By Isak Möller -

As if Milan don’t have injuries already, Pierre Kalulu was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher last night. The Frenchman took a knock to his side and tried to continue the game, but ultimately he couldn’t.

Although Alessio Romagnoli is back from his suspension, and Fikayo Tomori has joined the team, the Rossoneri don’t want to be without Kalulu. The youngster has done very well lately and has really deserved a spot in the starting eleven.

According to our correspondent Pietro Balzano Prota, as well as Antonio Vitiello and Daniele Longo, Kalulu has suffered a blunt abdominal muscle trauma. Nothing too serious, therefore, for the youngster although there are no recovery times yet.

Hopefully, he will be back at Stefano Pioli’s disposal as soon as possible. In the meantime, Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli will continue their long-standing partnership at the back, hoping to add more clean sheets to the tally.
