Reports: Milan find total agreement with Giampaolo; contract details revealed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have found a total agreement with Marco Giampaolo to become the club’s next head coach, according to multiple reports.

The Rossoneri continue to go through major changes this summer after the departures of Gennaro Gattuso and Leonardo as manager and sporting director respectively.

Reports have emerged in the last 24 hours linking Lazio chief Igli Tare as Leonardo’s replacement at the request of Paolo Maldini, who is expected to accept a new role as technical director.

Meanwhile, everything now points towards Giampaolo being confirmed as Milan’s next manager within the next few days, and multiple outlets are reporting a total agreement with the Switzerland-born coach.

Calciomercato.com claim that Giampaolo will pen a two-year contract with an option for the third year under certain conditions.

He will earn €2million per season, exactly twice as much as he does currently at Samp, who want a compensation from the Rossoneri to free Giampaolo.

The former Empoli boss will return from vacation in Croatia next Monday, ready to sign the contract and start his new adventure at San Siro.
