Reports: Milan will discuss loan signing of defender with Tottenham on Thursday

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking for a centre-back to bolster the squad ahead of what should be an exciting season. They have scheduled a meeting with Tottenham’s sporting director Fabio Paratici regarding this, a report claims.

In the last week or so, it has been made known by several outlets that Milan have reignited their interest in Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga. It makes a lot of sense, seeing as the Rossoneri said goodbye to their captain Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Milan had a meeting with Paratici over Tanganga last Friday and the initial indication was positive. In fact, a new summit is likely to take place on Thursday and the basis of the negotiation is a loan move (perhaps with an option or obligation to buy).

Daniele Longo adds that a summit will indeed take place on Thursday as Paratici will be in Milano then to conduct business. The formula, as stated by the previous report, is still to be agreed and it remains to be seen if common ground can be found.
