Reports: Pioli studying two attacking options for Milan’s clash against Lecce

By Isak Möller -

Following the Coppa Italia draw against Juventus, AC Milan are gearing up to take on Lecce away from home on Monday. This time, they will be looking to grab all three points to stay within reach of a European spot.

According to Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews.it, Stefano Pioli will most likely continue with the 4-2-3-1 formation. Ante Rebic could keep his spot up front while Samu Castillejo is back from suspension, ready to start on the right flank.

Should the manager decide to field Hakan Calhanoglu to the left, then Lucas Paqueta could start as the trequartista behind Rebic. However, as reported by SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it), Rafael Leao could be given the chance from start.

In this case, Rebic would most likely start on the left flank while Calhanoglu would replace Paqueta as the trequartista. It remains to be seen which solution the manager will opt for, given the importance of the game.
