Reports: PSV likely to make loan offer for De Ketelaere – Milan’s stance

PSV Eindhoven appear ready to firm up their interest in Charles De Ketelaere and are likely to make an offer, according to reports.

Calciomercato.com report that Aston Villa plus some clubs in Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga came forward to express interest in De Ketelaere, but the exit of Xavi Simons to Paris Saint-Germain has seen PSV emerge as a contender.

He is among the profiles being considered to replace the Dutchman, who joined Milan in a deal worth €35m and therefore has a residual value of about €28m on the accounts after one year of amortisation.

Milan will therefore only evaluate offers of €30m or above for the 22-year-old, which is out of PSV’s range given their record signing is Serbian striker Mateja Kezman for €14m followed by Noa Lang this summer for €12.5m.

Therefore, it seems more likely they will try for a loan with option to buy deal, but Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada are not keen. However, over the coming weeks it risks becoming the obligatory solution to free up a place in the squad.

Meanwhile, TMW report that Milan are asking for at least €25m but the Dutch club cannot pay that, so they will aim for a loan and perhaps an option to buy included.

  1. Send on loan and take 5 mil loan fee…

Rebic send on loan also for covering full wage without any loan fee. Use origi one more year.

    1. It depends who is interested. Clubs ramp up the fees if Milan or some other big name club is interested. Lang would have been a profile worth looking at imo

  2. send him on loan for 5 and obligation to buy for 25 if he scores 20. PSV sold gakpo and madueke for big money recently. I think they might just do it if he performs excellent and replicates his brugge numbers in holland

  3. Loan inside Serie A with obligations to pay penalties if he doesn’t get a minimum of minutes. Keep him otherwise.
