Reports suggest Ibrahimovic’s AC Milan shirt number has been confirmed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s newest recruit Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to retake his old squad number after securing his return to the Rossoneri, it is claimed.

The Rossoneri announced the news via a statement on their official website, with the Swede having put pen to paper on a deal which will run until the end of the season, and it has been confirmed that it can be extended for the 2020-21 season.

Ibrahimovic revealed his delight after it was officially announced that he had secured his return, proclaiming that he is ‘returning to a club that I respect enormously and to a city that I love’.

The Rossoneri appeared to have confirmed his squad number on their official website as on the player profile page they have his squad number listed as 11, though there are some doubts as to whether this is in fact a current squad member page or one from his Hall of Fame profile.

This is backed up by La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira, who also claims that Ibrahimovic will take back possession of the No.11 jersey.
