Reports: Zlatan Ibrahimovic to miss Liverpool game due to Achilles tendon problem

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been dealt a huge blow ahead of tomorrow’s game against Liverpool at Anfield as Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be available.

According to MilanNews, Ibrahimovic will not be available to head coach Stefano Pioli for tomorrow’s match against Liverpool as the Swedish forward will be out due to suffering pain in his Achilles tendon. The player will therefore remain in Milan as a precaution, as has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and other sources.

The Swede got half an hour on the pitch against Lazio and scored a decisive goal within seven minutes of coming on, but above all it was meant to serve as fuel in his legs to get himself in the best possible condition to face Jurgen Klopp’s side.

However, the 39-year-old has sustained yet another problem and therefore will not be able to travel with the team for their first Champions League game in seven years.
