Repubblica: Agreement ‘not far off’ as Milan continue Ziyech talks with Chelsea

By Isak Möller -

Hakim Ziyech has seemingly become one of AC Milan’s primary targets this summer, based on the rumours that have filtered in the last few days. In fact, an agreement between the two parties is approaching, a report claims.

Milan are looking for a right-winger to reinforce their attacking trio and they have set their sights on Ziyech. According to La Repubblica (via MilanNews), Chelsea have approved the departure of the Moroccan and now the terms are being negotiated.

The agreement isn’t far off and Milan are eager to close the deal as quickly as possible, hence the many developments just over the last few days. The price tag of the deal should be in the region of €25m, most likely with a loan formula.

When asked about Ziyech during his press conference today, Milan manager Stefano Pioli responded with a telling smile before eventually stating that it’s the job of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to sign the players.

  1. Yes he is. He was a total stud/superstar for that amazing Ajax team that made the final 4 of Champions League a few years ago. And Tuchel I think was wrong not to give him more minutes. When he played, he was productive and made a positive impact. I have 2 very good friends who are huge Chelsea fans and they never understood why he didn’t play more. Obviously almost anyone we’re going after will be a HUGE upgrade from Saele/Messias at our weak RW position; but anyway, he would be a huge upgrade. Berardi, Asensio, Dybala… there are many guys who could help us; but Ziyech I think would be a great signing for us.
